Hi, I’m Shanell!
Shanell is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She earned her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Montana. Prior to pursuing her degree in speech-language pathology, Shanell practiced as an ABA therapist under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She worked as a school-based SLP before moving into private practice in 2016.
Shanell's coaching focus is primarily with older children and adolescents with cognitive communication disorders, including traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), autism spectrum disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, ADHD, and social communication disorders. Additionally, Shanell is an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and is available for executive skills training and parent coaching. She also works with adults who have experienced brain injuries and strokes in order to get them to their highest levels of independence following a medical incident.
Shanell’s philosophy includes using strength-based interventions that respect the neurodiversity and personalities of each of her clients. She prefers to see herself as more of a coach or partner in therapeutic assessment, with the ultimate goal of helping her clients become the best version of themselves.
